Hey y'all let me introduce myself, I'm Lisa Bartlett and I haven't always been in Horticulture. In fact in a past life I  was a talent coordinator for stand up comedians like Jeff Foxworthy and Steve Harvey!
You were thinking, why would I give up such a wonderful career working with the stars of comedy?!  Well, let's just say when plants die it's so much easier than when comedians die (on stage that is). Heaven knows I 've killed my fare share - of plants - of plants!  Though having said that, there were a couple of comedians.....

Any way, what started out as a hobby soon became an addiction and just when most people are settled in their careers mine took off on a different path. I began working part time at a local nursery and was soon asked to manage it's plant tissue culture and production facility. 

I haven't looked back since. My passion for all things green have taken me around the world, and good or bad my garden reflects that.

Never be afraid to change. I wasn't, and look what happened, I have never been happier.
