Guest Host: Hayes Jackson - Urban Regional Extension Agent for Anniston, Ala.
He points out that the letters of his title spell UREA. Hmmm.
Hayes is a world renowned plant explorer and he is the one that discovered our
native double Hydrangea arborescens _Hayes Starburst’.  Hayes is also an
authority on hardy tropicals that include Palms, Gingers and Bananas. He is one of
the more enthusiastic plant nuts out there and I’m proud to call him my friend.

No Guest Host

I’m ready to get back into the garden now that the hot weather has broken!
So, in honor of the upcoming Labor Day Holiday, I plan on being in labor
in my own back yard.  My Mother redecorated her kitchen. The old kitchen had the
sink facing a plaster wall.  She had the sink moved  under the window so she could
have a view. Unfortunately that view is of dust and 3 panting dogs right now.
She wants a vista I hope to be able to give that to her. I plan on sharing my
tips for gardening with three dogs in the coming weeks.
